Feature
Buy for 500, get 600.
The bonus campaign is the oldest trick in the gift card book, and it works because it pulls revenue forward to the weeks when it's otherwise quiet. In Kuvert, a campaign is a period, a bonus percentage and a choice of whether it can be seen by everyone.
How it works
Three steps
- 01
Set the period and bonus
Choose start and end date and how much extra the customer gets. The campaign switches on and off by itself — you don't need to remember to stop it.
- 02
Choose whether it should be visible
A public campaign shows on your gift card page for everyone. A hidden campaign is only found by those you send the link to.
- 03
The bonus is added at purchase
The customer pays 500 kr. and the card is issued with 600 kr. in balance. The bonus sits on the card from the moment it's issued.
The campaign
Campaign
20 % on top
- The customer pays
- DKK 500.00
- Bonus (20 %)
- DKK 100.00
- The card is worth
- DKK 600.00
- Kuvert's fee — on what was paid
- DKK 12.50
- Had we taken it on the card's value
- DKK 15.00
The period is the only thing that decides. Move the purchase day, and watch the bonus fall away on its own.
When does the customer buy?
The customer pays, and the card is issued with the bonus on top. Those extra kroner are balance with you, not a discount — and there is no fee on them.
Runs from 6 January 2026 to 27 January 2026
Bought on 15 January 2026
The campaign is running. The bonus goes onto the card straight away.

What to know
- Hidden campaigns for newsletters
- A campaign behind a direct link isn't visible on your site and won't be found by random visitors. That makes it useful for newsletters, partners and closed groups — without you undercutting your own front page.
- The bonus is real money on the card
- The extra 100 kr. is balance the customer can spend with you, not a discount at purchase time. That's why campaigns pull cash forward instead of giving up revenue.
- The period is enforced
- The campaign applies to the dates you've set. A purchase outside the period gets no bonus, even if the customer has an old link lying about.
- Do the maths first
- A 20 % bonus means the card's value exceeds what was paid by 20 %. Set the bonus based on your margin, not based on what looks good in an advert.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Can we run several campaigns at once?
You can create several campaigns, and each has its own period and bonus. A hidden campaign can therefore run alongside a public one without one giving away the other.
What if someone shares the hidden link?
It works for them — a hidden link isn't a password. Set the period tightly if the campaign should be hard to reuse.
Do we pay a fee on the bonus?
The platform fee is based on what the customer pays. The bonus is balance you add on top, and no fee is charged on it.
Can a campaign be stopped early?
Yes. You can change or remove a campaign from the dashboard while it's running.
