About Kuvert
The gift card should just be easier than it is.
Kuvert is a tool for Danish businesses wanting to sell gift cards, punch cards and tickets under their own name and take table bookings on their own page — without ordering physical cards, without waiting for a payout from a platform, and without having to figure out the rules themselves.
What it is
Your gift card page, not our marketplace
The customer buys on a page with your name, your logo and your colours. The card they get looks like it comes from you, because it does. Kuvert doesn't appear as a middleman to your customer and doesn't build a marketplace where your guests are shown competitors.
Behind it sits the dashboard, where you issue, redeem and track your numbers — and where staff can take a withdrawal without being able to change prices. If the cards need to go into your own system, there is an API and signed webhooks.
Principles
Four things that are not negotiable
- We never touch your money
- The payment goes into your own Stripe account at the moment of purchase, and Kuvert only takes its fee from the transaction. There is no client account, no intermediary settlement and no monthly payout from us. That is the decision everything else in the product is built on.
- Digital cards only
- No plastic, no inventory, no shipping and nothing to throw away when the logo changes. A card is a code with a balance — it can be sent again if the customer loses it.
- The rules are not optional
- Minimum 36 months validity, redemption right on the remaining balance with the statutory fee cap, and a liability that only becomes revenue once it legally may. This is built in, not something you need to remember.
- The price is the whole price
- 2 % + VAT of each sale, with no monthly fee, setup cost, lock-in or per-user charge. If a restaurant chooses table booking, it has a fixed plan with the price written on the pricing page. Stripe's own fees are Stripe's, and we don't add anything on top.
