Features

What you sell, and everything that comes after.

The sale itself is the easy part. What's hard is everything that comes after: getting the card to the right person on the right day, splitting the amount across two redemptions, keeping the evening from being overbooked, letting staff redeem without being able to change prices, and making the numbers add up. Here is everything the system does today.

Eleven things Kuvert does

Not a wishlist. Every line below is something built — the underlined ones have their own page.

Gift cards in seconds
The gift card is sent by email straight away — or handed out in the shop. No physical cards, no stock to manage.
Scheduled delivery
Bought for a birthday in three weeks? Choose the date and we'll send the card automatically on the day.
Save the card to your phone's wallet
The recipient adds the gift card or ticket to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet with one tap. The code then sits on the phone instead of in an email that needs to be dug out at the till or in the queue.
MobilePay, card, Apple Pay and Google Pay
Payment is completed in Stripe Checkout with MobilePay or card. Apple Pay and Google Pay sit on top of card payment and show on devices that support them. MobilePay requires the feature to be enabled on your Stripe account.
Money goes straight to you
Stripe is the payment provider and payment lands on your own linked Stripe account at the moment of purchase. Kuvert takes only its fee — we never hold your money in between.
Punch cards
Issue ten punches for gym sessions, ten cups of coffee or five treatments. Each punch is deducted individually from the card, and there's no fee on a card you issue yourself.
Campaigns and bonus
Run "buy for 500, get 600" for a period. Campaigns can be public on your site or hidden behind a direct link.
Tickets for events
Sell tickets for dinners, tastings and events with fixed capacity — and check guests in at the door.
Roles for your staff
The owner runs everything, the manager looks after the setup, the staff serve at the counter, and the bookkeeper collects the figures — each with the access their work needs.
Webhooks and API
Send gift-card events to your own system with signed webhooks and API keys for both test and live.
Table booking for restaurants
The guest picks a day, a party size and a time on your page and gets a table that fits. Waiting list, reminders, guest book and a plan of the room — free for up to 25 bookings a month.

One card, from the day it is bought to the day it runs out. Move the day, and see what has happened by then.

Which day are we standing on?

The second redemption has been taken too. The card is neither used up nor closed — there is still an amount on it, and years left of the validity.

It is the same code the whole way. The delivery day, the two redemptions and the expiry are dates on the same card, and the balance is not stored anywhere — it is issued minus redeemed, every time anyone asks.
