That is why your Kuvert shop can sit on top of yours: one line in the template gives a buy button, and the click opens gift cards, tickets or table booking in an overlay without sending the guest away. Only at payment does the guest go on to Stripe and back again.

Copy the line from the dashboard
Under settings the finished line stands ready to copy, with your own address already in it. It looks like the line below.

Put it on your site
The line should go in the template, just before the page ends. If you can edit your site's HTML, or your system has a field for scripts, there's nothing more to it.

The buyer stays on your site
A button settles in the corner. A click opens your shop in an overlay on top of your own page, and the guest picks an amount and writes the greeting without leaving you.

What should the line say?

One line, one attribute: which shop it is. The button stands in the corner of your own page, with the text and the colour it comes with.

What to know

The button is customised on the same line: Text, colour and language are written on the same line. You choose them in the dashboard, and the line is written for you. If you choose nothing, the button says «Køb gavekort» (buy gift card), is dark and speaks Danish.
A button for each night: If your site has a programme, each night can get its own button: «Buy a ticket» opens the night's tickets, and «Book a table» opens the tables. The guest can put tickets for several nights and a gift card in the cart and pay for it all at once.
The programme is fetched from Kuvert: Your website can fetch your nights from Kuvert without any key: name, date, poster, line-up, prices, and how many places and tables are left. It can also be notified when a night goes on sale, is changed or is cancelled. So the programme on your site never says anything different from the shop.
The overlay speaks the same five languages: If you pick English, Norwegian, Swedish or German, the overlay opens in that language. It is the same shop as always. It just sits in a frame on your site.
The direct link works unchanged: The overlay is an option, not a requirement. The address of your shop is still the one that goes in the newsletter, in your profile text and on a sign by the till.
The overlay closes the way people expect: Escape closes it. So does a click beside it and the cross in the corner. The site behind is kept still while the overlay is there, so it doesn't scroll away underneath.

Payment breaks out of the frame, on purpose: For security reasons, Stripe's payment page must not be shown inside a frame on another domain. When the buyer has to pay, the whole window is sent to Stripe, and afterwards the buyer lands on the receipt.
The line can stand in two places: If the script is put in by mistake in both the template and the home page, it finds itself and skips the second time. You won't get two buttons in the corner.

Frequently asked questions

Do we need a developer for this?

One line goes in the template. If you can edit the site's HTML or have a field for scripts in your system, you can do it yourself. Otherwise it's ten minutes' work for whoever looks after the site.

Does it work on our website?

Yes, if you can insert a line into the site's HTML. You can on WordPress, Shopify and most other systems. If your system does not allow that, you link to your shop with an ordinary link or a button instead. The rest of the purchase is the same.

Can we change the text and colour on the button?

Yes. Both are set on the line itself along with the language, so the button can say what you call your gift cards and have your own colour.

Why does the buyer leave the site when they need to pay?

Because Stripe's payment page must not sit in a frame on another domain. We send the whole window to payment instead, and the buyer lands on the receipt afterwards.

Does the script put anything on our visitors?

The script doesn't store anything on your site. It adds a button and a frame. What the shop itself sets is described in the cookie policy.
