Gift cards for experiences, and tickets for those with places.
An experience is sold two ways: as a gift, which the recipient redeems themselves when it suits, and as a ticket for a particular date with a particular number of places. Kuvert sells both from the same site.

Four situations you know
This is the day-to-day the card needs to survive — not a feature list.
- The event has 24 places
- Create it as an event with fixed capacity. When the 24 tickets are sold, the sale closes itself — you don't have to keep an eye on it.
- The gift should be usable any time
- Then a gift card is the right choice: the recipient gets a balance and books themselves when the calendar allows. No date to move, no exchange.
- Guests need to be checked in at the door
- The ticket has its own code. You check the guest in when they arrive, and an already-checked-in ticket can't be used twice.
- Bad weather cancels the day
- You can refund the order from the dashboard. The refund goes back through Stripe to the account the payment landed on, and any associated cards are cancelled if unused.
Most used
What matters most for experiences
- Tickets with capacity
- Fixed number of places per event, sales close automatically, and guests are checked in at the door.
- Campaigns behind a link
- Run a hidden offer to your newsletter or a partner — the campaign exists only for those with the link.
- Punch cards for returners
- Ten climbing sessions, five pottery classes or twelve yoga classes on one card. The guest buys it on your site, or you issue it yourself, and punches are deducted individually.
- Five languages
- Danish, English, Norwegian, Swedish and German at no extra cost — tourists buy experiences.
- Webhooks and API
- Send events onwards to your own booking or customer system with signed webhooks.

Open Fjordtur
Fjordtur is our demo for experiences: a fictional business with a real Kuvert shop behind it. Their website, our button — and the shop is in test mode, so you can click around without a single krone being charged. The other four industries are nearby.

Experiences
Fjordtur
Kayak, coastal walks and bonfires
A kayak tour with five ticket prices — one sold out, and one that only opens two days before departure.

Hotel
Strandhotellet
Accommodation on the west coast
Accommodation at fixed prices, a running campaign, and the gift card in five languages.

Restaurant
Spisehuset
Nordic cuisine, four courses
Table booking with a waiting list and a Christmas Eve deposit — and tickets for the New Year's menu in the same shop.

Café
Kaffebaren
Roasted on Jagtvej since 2014
No purchase button on their own site — Kuvert places the floating button in the corner itself.

Spa
Badehuset
Sauna, bathing and stillness
A campaign that adds 20 % on top, and the shop unfolded in the middle of their own site.

Nightclub
Natklubben
Friday and Saturday, until it gets light
A shop that sells nothing but tickets: two nights, 18+ on the page, the ticket and the scanner, door sales until 02 — and a waiting list on the night that has sold out.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between a ticket and a gift card?
A ticket belongs to a particular event on a particular date and counts towards the event's capacity — it's checked in at the door. A gift card is a balance with no date, which the recipient redeems when it suits them.
Can sales close automatically when we're sold out?
Yes. An event has a fixed capacity, and when the tickets are sold, no more can be bought.
Can we refund if we have to cancel?
Yes. You refund the order from the dashboard, and the money goes back through Stripe from the account the payment originally landed on. Unredeemed cards on the order are cancelled.
Can we sell to overseas guests?
Your site can meet the customer in Danish, English, Norwegian, Swedish or German, and payment is by card or MobilePay. Prices and accounts are in Danish kroner.
